Dear Purple Bin members,
Due to the ongoing CanadaPost work action, we are unable to schedule pickups or ship replacement bins at this time. To ensure that this free program can be sustainably operated for our 1000+ members, we rely on the competitive rates offered by CanadaPost. We are exploring alternative options should this strike continue for a protracted period.
We apologize for the impact of this disruption on our Purple Bin community, and are very grateful for your ongoing support of the program. Together in 2024 we diverted over 1 tonne (1,000,000 grams) of cannabis packaging from the landfill, and in 2025 we are on track to more than double that amount! You can check out what we accomplished together in the first year of the program in this highlight video.
Pickup requests will be logged in our system, and we will arrange for your bin to be returned to us and replacement bins delivered to you as soon as we are able. In the interim, if you are able to empty the contents of your full bin into another box, we will gladly ship that box (or boxes) once the strike has concluded.
We are very thankful for your support so far, and looking forward to everything we will accomplish together as we continue to expand the program’s scope and impact in the months and years ahead.
Is your Purple Bin nearly full? Please fill out the form below with your store’s name, account number, and preferred contact email, and a member of our team will be in touch to arrange collection.
